Catworks Construction is a minority-owned general contractor headquartered in Battle Ground, Washington. Founded in 2005 by owner Mike Nieto, Catworks has steadily grown both in size and capabilities, consistently breaking into new markets. With an ever-expanding geographic market, they have successfully completed projects throughout the Northwest and extending all the way to Las Vegas, Nevada. Small in size, rich in capabilities, Catworks has grown to 40 employees and has become a leader in the civil construction, facilities maintenance, and trucking industries. Catworks is dedicated to quality and has a proven track record of operating in a transparent, customer-centric manner at all levels. 
The ability to pursue challenging work and service customers at the highest level is a direct result of the quality of Catworks’ humble, dedicated, and committed employees. Comprised of an uncommon collection of professionals with diverse and technical backgrounds, Catworks provides substantial value to a diverse customer base. In addition to our loyal customers in the private sector, Catworks has built lifelong professional relationships with several Public Works Agencies, including (but not limited to): USDA Forest Service, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Department of Energy – Bonneville Power Administration, and US Department of Interior – Bureau of Land Management as well as the National Park Service.
Catworks has had the privilege of working on several iconic monuments in the Pacific NW and beyond. Our passion for pursuing unique projects has given us an opportunity to work on high profile projects including the 2015 Interim Repair to the Spirit Lake Outlet Tunnel on Mt St. Helens, the Lagoon Fill for the Mouth of the Columbia River North Jetty, Benson Bridge at Multnomah Falls, Wahkeena Falls Overlook in the Columbia Gorge, Timberline Lodge, Bonneville Cascades Island, and Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
In addition to performing their own projects, Catworks operates as a Subcontractor to several organizations including Howard S. Wright, Hoffman Construction, Halbert Construction, and Slayden Constructors. Highlighted projects include the Portland International Airport Post-Security Concessions—Utilities Phase 3 Grease Separation, Providence Office Park III, New Heights North Church, and The Pearl District Marriott Hotel.
Catworks is honored to have received the following awards: 2012 Small Minority Business of the year by the Portland District SBA, 2012 DJC DMWESB Top Projects First Place for Public Works, 2013 Catworks Best DMWESB Contractor from the Daily Journal of Commerce as well as 2013 DJC DMWESB Top Projects for Public Buildings.
The company is excited to be working on several new projects in Nevada and Arizona, strengthening the Southwest division and adding to their presence in the region. These projects include construction of boat ramps at Lake Mead, recreational trails, and site work for an Interpretive Center. Exciting upcoming projects in the Northwest include installation of a 130-foot span T-bolt girder bridge for the US Forest Service in the Umpqua National Forest; as well as the excavation/remediation and site work for Howard S Wright in Portland’s Pearl District.

The company has been a member of the SWCA since 2006, and Mike has been actively involved ever since. He is currently the incoming president of the Board of Directors.
