SWCA presents 2021 Construction Champions Awards

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Southwest Washington Contractors Association introduced its 2021 Construction Champions Thursday, March 24, 2022, at its fourth annual Construction Executive Summit.
The Construction Champions Awards recognize SWCA member organizations for their business success, participation in the Association and contributions to the community.
The 2021 winners are:
· General Contractor of the Year: Tapani Inc.
· Subcontractor of the Year: Stewart Mechanical Inc.
· Supplier of the Year: CalPortland
· Rookie Member of the Year: Lease Crutcher Lewis
In presenting the awards, Sherrie Jones, executive director of SWCA, said all the companies nominated for these awards, “have been consistent supporters of the local commercial, industrial and infrastructure construction industry. Each company has helped to improve the local community through their projects and actions.”
Tapani Inc – General Contractor of the Year
Tapani Inc. has been a major force in the infrastructure development in our region. Tapani, Inc. also is a consistent presence at SWCA events and provides guidance on the SWCA Board of Directors.
Honorable mention for General Contractor of the Year went to: Anderson Construction, Robertson & Olson Construction, Inc., Bunch Construction, Inc., Fisher Construction Group, Emerick Construction Co., Catworks Construction, LLC, and Raz Construction.
Stewart Mechanical Inc. – Subcontractor of the Year
Stewart Mechanical has been providing full mechanical services for projects in the Pacific Northwest for years. Stewart Mechanical provides strong support for SWCA initiatives and provides guidance to the SWCA Board of Directors.
Honorable mention for Subcontractor of the Year went to: 3 Kings Environmental, Inc., Anchor Concrete, Inc., Tradesmen Electric, Inc., JRT Mechanical, Inc and Cornerstone Masonry, Inc.
CalPortland – Supplier of the Year
Another member that is deeply involved in SWCA, CalPortland serves on the Board of Directors, sponsors numerous association events, partners with many members and civic organizations and an obvious supporter of the industry. The consistent support of CalPortland has enabled SWCA to serve our members over the years.
Honorable Mention for Supplier of the Year: J.L. Storedahl & Sons, Inc., H.D. Fowler and Cadman (Lehigh Hanson Cement Company).
Lease Crutcher Lewis – Rookie Member of the Year
Lease Crutcher Lewis joined SWCA in the summer of 2020. Since joining, they have attended and supported SWCA events and will provide support to the SWCA Board of Directors. We are excited to have them as a member of our community.
Honorable Mention for Rookie Member of the Year: Emeritec, RimRiser, Uptown Screen Printing & Personalized Gifts, and Western Water Works.
