Can you believe it?! It’s already October! Our last week of September was packed full of 2022 planning, and hearing from our friends at NW Natural with the latest updates around natural gas in our area. Thank you Nelson Holmberg for your presentation! You can see the full webinar here.
Here are a few punch list items for this week:
- This year’s Holiday Party & Auction: Building Christmas Together will be on Friday, December 3rd at ilani. Tickets are on sale now! Sponsorships are going fast! Contact me to see what’s still available.
- Interested in building something to contribute to the Holiday Auction? See our wishlist here or make your own. (please notify us on what you’re building so we can add it to our marketing materials) The member item that raises the most money will win a special prize!
- Coming up on October 21st is our next Open House! This is the perfect time to meet the team, meet our benefit providers, and learn about everything that SWCA offers to you as a member. Please RSVP in advance as snacks will be provided. AND there will be door prizes for the members that ask the most questions!
- SWCA is partnering with Workforce Southwest Washington in a joint marketing campaign to encourage employees to apply for jobs in the trades and construction. Would you company like to be a part of this effort? Email Ellen if you are interested to let us use your name and logo in this effort.
- We have partnered again with E&M Consulting, Inc. to produce our Membership Directory. The publication will be available in both print and digital formats. E&M will be managing the project, including advertising sales and layout/graphic design. They are extremely professional and produce a high-quality publication, and we ask that you give them a moment of your time. E&M will be contacting all members about the advertising opportunities available. The publication will be mailed to every member – a great opportunity to promote and give your company additional exposure. - We are looking for members to join our discussion regarding Permitting in Clark County. SWCA is your advocate, so we need your input! Please send your stories, share your solutions, and join our workgroup! Email Sherrie to share or to learn more about how you can get involved!
- Anyone interested in presenting at the 2021 Clark County Latino Youth Leadership Conference on October 9th? The event will be virtual and they are looking for latinx business owners who will enthusiastically encourage youth to pursue careers in the trades. Contact Ellen if you are interested in presenting.
