WOW what a busy two weeks!  We had a fantastic Summit event and Young Contractors Forum & then went right into an office move!  Come see us at the new space in the Collins Plaza (same building as before, new office) 7017 NE Hwy 99 Suite 116 Vancouver, WA 98665.  Special thanks to Cyndi Holloway, Chrissy Lyons, Doug Lange, Kyle Teel, Larry Kingsella, and Michael Wagy for all the work helping us get moved & settled!  And of course, to the SWCA team (Gina and Ellen) for all their hard work in making it happen!

• SWCA Open House: come see the new space & meet the board members!  Thursday, April 14^th 10:00am to 12:00pm  Please register so we can get a head count.
• Wednesday, April 20^th is the next webinar: Slay Your Competition.  Hear from Jamie Young of Uptown Screen Printing & Personalized Gifts and Sue Malo of RevLocal.  They will be discussing marketing tips and tricks to help you WIN more business.  Register NOW so you do not miss this webinar!
• The much anticipated SWCA Classic Cup presented by CalPortland will be Friday, July 22^nd!  First right of refusal emails go out next week, so be sure to check your inboxes!
• The Development and Engineering Advisory Board (DEAB) of Clark County is looking to fill a vacancy.  The requirements of the position are that they “are associated with commercial or industrial development and works or lives in Clark County.” If you are looking to be more involved in influencing county code & the decisions that are made regarding development in the county, this is the seat for you.  Email Sherrie for more information regarding this opening.
• We MOVED offices! Same location in Hazel Dell, but new suite number 116.  Feel free to stop by to visit!

• Want to learn about upcoming infrastructure construction in the county? The CCUCC (Clark County Utility Coordinating Council) will be meeting this month on Wednesday, April 6^th at the Golden Corral in Vancouver  - lunch at 11:30 and meeting at noon.  You do not want to miss this opportunity to learn about the upcoming construction projects that may impact your business.  Email Ellen if you have questions.
• SWCA is proud to partner with AGC Oregon and ESD 112 on a Teacher Externship this summer! Want to learn more?  Want to host the group for a day?  Contact Ellen!
• Did you know the SWCA is the Volunteer Chair for Dozer Day?  We need your help – we need volunteers and equipment operators for the event.  Dozer Day is coming on May 14 & 15 this year at the Clark County Fairgrounds.  This is the most amazing day for our young construction professionals to get in the driver’s seat of the big equipment.  Check out the new website where you can volunteer or email Ellen and she can help you out.
• SWCA is participating in the Regional Transportation Summit hosted by Identity Clark County and the Columbia Corridor Association, and the SW Freight and Commerce Task Force. This event is co-hosted by Greater Vancouver Chamber, Portland Business Alliance, Columbia River Economic Development Council, Great Portland Inc, SW Washington Contractors Association and sponsored by NW Utility Contractors Association.  This VIRTUAL event will take place on April 14, 2022 from 1-3:00 pm.  RSVP is required - contact Sherrie for more information.

• Integrity Safety has a new Member2Member Deal – members can receive 15% off of all of their online safety training – Check it out!
• Squires Electric is hosting a 5K run in support of the Hough Foundation!  The run/walk takes place along the Vancouver waterfront on April 30^th.  Contact us to learn more!
• Looking for a golf opportunity?  Or just want to support another SWCA member?  Learning Avenues Child Care Centers is hosting their 28^th Annual golf tournament on Tuesday, June 21^st.  Contact Jerry Todd to sponsor or to register to golf.
• The Students of Battle Ground High School will be building a Gazebo as part of the Plaza at Fruit Valley Terrace – a community garden and learning/resource hub located within the Fruit Valley Terrace Community.
