
WOW what a busy two weeks! We had a fantastic Summit event and Young Contractors Forum & then went right into an office move! - Wednesday, April 20th is the next webinar: Slay Your Competition. Hear from Jamie Young of Uptown Screen Printing & Personalized Gifts and Sue Malo of RevLocal. They will be discussing marketing tips and tricks to help you WIN more business. Register NOW so you do not miss this webinar!
- The much anticipated SWCA Classic Cup presented by CalPortland will be Friday, July 22nd! First right of refusal emails go out next week, so be sure to check your inboxes!
- The Development and Engineering Advisory Board (DEAB) of Clark County is looking to fill a vacancy. The requirements of the position are that they “are associated with commercial or industrial development and works or lives in Clark County.” If you are looking to be more involved in influencing county code & the decisions that are made regarding development in the county, this is the seat for you. SWCA in the Community
- Want to learn about upcoming infrastructure construction in the county? The CCUCC (Clark County Utility Coordinating Council) will be meeting this month on Wednesday, April 6th at the Golden Corral in Vancouver - lunch at 11:30 and meeting at noon. You do not want to miss this opportunity to learn about the upcoming construction projects that may impact your business. Email Ellen if you have questions.
- SWCA is proud to partner with AGC Oregon and ESD 112 on a Teacher Externship this summer! Want to learn more? Want to host the group for a day? Contact Ellen!
- Did you know the SWCA is the Volunteer Chair for Dozer Day? We need your help – we need volunteers and equipment operators for the event. Dozer Day is coming on May 14 & 15 this year at the Clark County Fairgrounds. This is the most amazing day for our young construction professionals to get in the driver’s seat of the big equipment. Check out the new website where you can volunteer or email Ellen and she can help you out.
- SWCA is participating in the Regional Transportation Summit hosted by Identity Clark County and the Columbia Corridor Association, and the SW Freight and Commerce Task Force. This event is co-hosted by Greater Vancouver Chamber, Portland Business Alliance, Columbia River Economic Development Council, Great Portland Inc, SW Washington Contractors Association and sponsored by NW Utility Contractors Association. This VIRTUAL event will take place on April 14, 2022 from 1-3:00 pm. RSVP is required - contact Sherrie for more information.
