Check out the 2023 Legislative Session – Week 11 Review / Week 12 Preview here.
SB 5726: Concerning Prevailing Wage and Sick Leave - The Building Trades have been trying to stop SB 5726 because they're opposed to the attempt to normalize the development of prevailing wage. However, some of the affiliate members have been working with the industry to push for the legislation. The bill was scheduled for a public hearing and was removed based on pressure from the Building Trades. Work behind the scenes has the bill back on the schedule for the 28th, but the bill would need to move by the following morning, or it would fail to pass before the cutoff. We will continue to support the efforts to move this legislation forward.
