Keynote speaker: Dr. Tim Cook, Clark College Vice President of Instruction
Join Dr. Tim Cook, VP of Instruction at Clark College, for a presentation on Clark College's Worker Retraining program and pre-apprenticeship training coming in Fall of 2016.
The Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Program will run for 11 weeks, beginning September 19th. It includes First Aid, Flagging, Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA 10), and costs $25 plus an application fee.
These programs will prepare adults age 18 and over to enter into the workforce or apprentice training, or attend Clark College. This effort is aimed at addressing the shortage in skilled labor the construction industry faces and provide a reliable training center where construction companies can send their candidates.
Those interested in applying may contact the Clark College Transitional Studies department at 360.992.2741 or visit http://www.clark.edu/academics/transitional-ed/index.php.
